SING FOR JOY! Community Choir
Sing For Joy! (SFJ) is an inclusive community choir in Bloomington, Indiana that is led by conductor Sandra Freund (see https://area10agency.org/sing-for-joy/). SFJ’s mission is to provide a welcoming environment inviting all people of the community, including those living with dementia (with a care provider) and the disabled, to join a vibrant choir in rehearsing and performing music designed for the interests and abilities of the singers. While the choir was founded to bring together senior citizens, individuals of all ages are welcome. The choir performs concerts for the community each year. Currently, the choir is on summer break, but will resume weekly rehearsals August 28, 2024.

Starting August 28, 2024 – rehearsals for SOUNDS OF THE 60’s. Every Wednesday at 3:00 PM at the Endwright East Active Living Center in Simon College Mall. No auditions or fees. The choir is designed for seniors, but welcomes all, including the other-abled and those living with dementia. Rehearsals will culminate with a concert at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
